It's weird because I fancy myself as one who loves being in another country. And I always have a hard time leaving. But this time around, I have to say, honestly, I can't wait to go. Perhaps it's because I have big things coming up in the near future, which I'm sooooo looking forward to. Maybe it's because I get to go to a new country and experience a new culture, yet again. It's nice to have more travels in my not too distant future. It's even better knowing I'll be getting a shiny, new traveling partner to go with.
I had all these thoughts in my head walking home from school and I really wanted to share them. But I've forgotten them. I should have jotted them down right away, but my stomach was grumbling and there were chicken fingers to be eaten. But they went something like this:
*I can't believe this year is almost over.
*You don't realize how great it was where you came from until you've left it.
*I'm pretty ready to go.
*I'm sure in hindsight, I'll remember there were some memorable things about this cross-cultural escapade.
*But all I'm thinking about right now is if we should have a candy buffet at the reception.
candy buffet!
(i don't really like candy, but i LOVE the idea of a candy buffet.)

I've been thinking of you lately and wondering if your stint was coming to an end. And about wedding details -- do you have a date?
[Try to] Enjoy your last few days!
